Job description
A pharmaceutical development company is seeking a CMC Project Lead to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a biologics professional with several years of hands-on experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility on client programmes.
As Project Lead, you will act as the technical lead on each programme, serving as the client’s primary technical contact and working alongside colleagues across process development, analytical and wider technical teams. This is not a project management position: strong technical capability, ideally in process or analytical development, is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Act as technical lead on client programmes from early development through to delivery
- Serve as the main technical point of contact for clients from project initiation onwards
- Consolidate process and analytical input into clear development plans and recommendations
- Collaborate with internal technical experts to ensure the right expertise is applied to each project
- Ensure projects remain on track and clients are kept fully informed
Experience required
- Experience in CMC, process development or analytical development within biologics (ATMP experience also considered)
- Client-facing experience, ideally gained within a CDMO, development partner or similar environment
- Exposure to leading or coordinating project work, whether or not this formed part of a formal job title
- A strong technical foundation in process or analytical development, with a willingness to broaden your knowledge of the other
- A genuine interest in working across a diverse range of projects and clients
