Description du poste
As Product Manager – Downstream Bioprocessing Solutions, you are responsible for the market-driven definition, development, and lifecycle management of VERDOT’s product portfolio.
The role covers both established product lines—such as chromatography columns and single-use purification systems—and the development of novel downstream purification solutions addressing emerging biologic modalities and evolving manufacturing requirements.
Based in France, ideally in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, at the heart of R&D and manufacturing, you act as a key interface between customers, commercial teams, and technical functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Define and maintain the product vision, value proposition, and multi-year roadmap covering existing products, their evolutions (including consumables), and services, as well as new products in development.
- Contribute to the identification, structuring, and maturation of novel downstream purification solutions.
- Ensure alignment between standard product strategy, platform scalability, and custom project execution.
2. Product Lifecycle Management (LCM)
- Own full lifecycle management of existing products, including upgrades, industrialization, cost optimization, and phase-out.
- Drive structured evolution of products to improve performance, robustness, and manufacturability.
- Manage change control impacts on product portfolio in close collaboration with Quality and Operations.
3. Market & Voice of Customer (VoC)
- Collect, structure, and analyze Voice of Customer from Sales, Applications, Service, and key strategic accounts.
- Monitor market trends including biologic modalities, scale-up constraints, automation, and regulatory expectations.
- Translate customer needs and market signals into clear product opportunities and requirements.
4. Product Definition & Development
- Define market-driven product requirements (PRD / URS-level) ensuring clear traceability to customer needs.
- Work closely with R&D, Engineering, Automation, and Quality to ensure feasibility, GMP compliance, and robustness.
- Support prioritization and arbitration of technical trade-offs (cost, timing, performance).
5. Go-To-Market & Commercial Support
- Support Strategic Marketing for product positioning, differentiation, and launch preparation.
- Contribute to sales tools, technical content, and internal product training.
- Drive continuous updates and consistency of product collateral (datasheets, brochures, presentations, value propositions, digital content) in coordination with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Sales.
- Support complex pre-sales discussions and strategic customer engagements.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as a central coordination point between Product, R&D, Operations, Quality, and Commercial teams.
- Ensure that systematic feedback loops from the installed base and project execution feed product evolution.
