About Crescent Pharmaceutical Group

Crescent Pharmaceutical Group is a rapidly growing, independent UK pharmaceutical business with an expanding portfolio of generic medicines supplied to the NHS and international markets.

Our Group operates multiple UK pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, including Crescent Manufacturing in London, Crescent Medical in Bolton and Thorpe Laboratories in Mablethorpe, alongside our established pharmaceutical distribution and supply operations.

We are continuing to invest significantly in our manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, infrastructure and people, with ambitious plans for further expansion.

As part of this growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Qualified Person (QP) to strengthen our Quality team and support the continued development of our UK manufacturing and import release operations.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for an experienced QP to join a growing pharmaceutical group and play an important role in shaping and supporting our manufacturing and quality operations.

The position offers exposure to a broad range of pharmaceutical products, manufacturing processes and regulatory activities across multiple sites.

We are looking for someone who is technically strong, commercially aware and practical in their approach, with the confidence to make independent, evidence-based quality decisions while maintaining the highest standards of GMP compliance and patient safety.

This is a hands-on position, working closely with our manufacturing, quality, regulatory and senior management teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Qualified Person for the certification and release of medicinal products manufactured and/or imported under the Group's relevant licences.
  • Ensure batch certification activities comply with UK GMP, Annex 16, Marketing Authorisations and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Review and assess batch manufacturing records, quality documentation, deviations, investigations, OOS/OOT results and associated risk assessments to support appropriate batch disposition decisions.
  • Provide expert QP guidance to manufacturing, quality assurance and quality control teams across the Group.
  • Support the investigation and resolution of complex manufacturing and quality issues, ensuring scientifically justified and compliant outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Pharmaceutical Quality Systems, procedures and operational processes.
  • Support MHRA inspections, regulatory compliance activities and ongoing inspection readiness.
  • Work alongside site leadership to strengthen quality performance, operational effectiveness and GMP standards.
  • Support new product introductions, technical transfers, manufacturing expansion and the development of additional release capabilities.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to internal teams and external manufacturing partners where required.

About You

Essential:

  • Qualified Person recognised as eligible to perform QP duties under the relevant UK regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working as a QP within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or import release environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK GMP, Annex 16 and MHRA regulatory expectations.
  • Experience reviewing complex batch documentation, quality investigations, deviations and risk assessments.
  • Strong technical understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality systems.
  • Confident, independent decision-maker with sound scientific judgement.
  • Practical, solutions-focused approach to resolving quality and compliance challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operational and senior leadership teams.

Desirable:

  • Experience across multiple pharmaceutical dosage forms or manufacturing facilities.
  • Experience with both UK manufacturing and import batch certification.
  • Involvement in MHRA inspections and regulatory remediation or improvement projects.
  • Experience supporting new product launches, technology transfers or manufacturing site expansion.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary starting from £90,000+, dependent on experience and capabilities.
  • A permanent, senior role within an established and growing pharmaceutical group.
  • Exposure to multiple manufacturing facilities, dosage forms and pharmaceutical operations.
  • The opportunity to influence quality standards, systems and operational development across the Group.
  • Direct engagement with senior management and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the continued expansion of the business.
  • A supportive environment that values technical expertise, sound judgement, accountability and continuous improvement.

Location & Working Arrangements

We are ideally seeking someone who can work full-time on site, maintaining a close working relationship with our manufacturing and quality teams.

The primary working location can be discussed depending on the successful candidate's experience, suitability and the operational requirements of the Group. Travel between UK facilities may be required.
