About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Pharmacovigilance Signal Detection Specialist to identify, evaluate, and monitor potential safety signals associated with medicinal products. This role focuses on safety data analysis, signal assessment, risk evaluation, and regulatory compliance to support patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor adverse event databases for potential safety signals and emerging risks.
- Analyze individual case reports, aggregate safety data, and relevant medical literature.
- Conduct signal validation, prioritization, and assessment activities.
- Prepare signal evaluation reports and document conclusions and recommendations.
- Collaborate remotely with drug safety, medical affairs, and regulatory teams.
- Support periodic safety reporting and risk management activities.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with pharmacovigilance procedures.
- Monitor regulatory guidance and industry best practices related to signal management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or signal detection.
- Strong knowledge of adverse event analysis, signal management, and risk assessment.
- Experience with safety databases, statistical analysis, and medical literature review.
- Familiarity with Good Pharmacovigilance Practices (GVP) and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, scientific writing, and communication skills.
