Following recent on‑site meetings with their leadership team in London, APX Life Sciences has been engaged to identify an exceptional Clinical Project Manager to support the continued expansion of their Clinical & Medical organisation.
The Opportunity
This is a pivotal role within a high‑growth biotech where you will work across Clinical Operations, Medical, Regulatory, and cross‑functional program teams to drive integrated planning, operational excellence, and strategic alignment. Reporting into the Senior Director, Clinical Strategy & Operational Excellence, you will enhance the effectiveness of the CMO’s office and ensure programs are delivered with clarity, consistency, and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an integrated program plan across the Clinical/Medical function, partnering closely with senior leaders including the CMO and VP‑level stakeholders
- Coordinate cross‑functional workstreams to ensure alignment on timelines, activities, and deliverables
- Manage program‑level risk and issue logs, driving mitigation strategies and contingency planning
- Support preparation of management reports and program updates for Executive Leadership and the Board
- Lead development of program budgets and forecasts in collaboration with Finance
- Create and present clear, data‑driven reports for senior stakeholders
- Own and refine standards, templates, and tools that enable consistent program execution
- Facilitate key stakeholder meetings and ensure planning is fully compliant with internal quality systems
Experience & Qualifications
- BSc or higher in Life Sciences (or equivalent experience)
- Strong background in Project or Program Management within Clinical Operations (biotech, pharma, or CRO)
- Experience coordinating cross‑functional clinical programs
- Skilled in risk management, stakeholder influence, and structured communication
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and numerical capability
- Proficiency with MS Project, MS Teams, SharePoint, and Office 365
- Prince2 or similar PM methodology (optional but beneficial)
- Line management experience advantageous but not required
