CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR

UK Site Network (Peterborough-Based)

Assured Clinical Research Ltd | Full-Time | Ref: SW001

Salary: Salary discussed at interview — please indicate your expectations.

📍 Primarily based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire | Travel across wider UK as needed as ACR expands

Assured Clinical Research Ltd (ACR) is a growing independent clinical research organisation dedicated to expanding patient access to clinical trials within community and primary care settings across the UK. Working with sponsors, CROs, and healthcare partners, we deliver high-quality studies safely, ethically, and efficiently.

We are looking for a motivated and organised Clinical Research Coordinator to join our UK site team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, growing organisation at an early stage — with real scope to develop your clinical research career across a diverse and expanding study portfolio.

This role is primarily based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, with occasional wider UK travel as ACR’s site network grows. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director, UK, and Chief of Staff, providing operational support across assigned studies.

THE ROLE

Working under the supervision of the Lead Chief of Staff and Principal Investigator, you will play a central role in the day-to-day delivery of clinical studies at ACR’s UK sites. Your responsibilities will span the full study lifecycle — from start-up through to close-out — ensuring participants receive an exceptional experience and that studies are conducted to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate participant visits, scheduling, and follow-up activities across assigned research locations
  • Support the informed consent process under delegation and supervision of the Principal Investigator
  • Prepare, maintain, and review source documents and essential regulatory files (eReg/eCTMS)
  • Perform data entry and query resolution in electronic data capture (EDC) systems
  • Assist with delegated clinical procedures, including clinical observations and biological sample collection, where appropriately trained and authorised
  • Liaise with investigators, sponsors, and CROs — including support during monitoring visits and site initiation activities
  • Manage study supplies, investigational product handling, and sample logistics in accordance with protocol requirements
  • Help maintain regulatory, ethical, and GCP compliance across all assigned studies
  • Deputise for the Lead Clinical Research Coordinator in their absence, maintaining continuity of study operations
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and SOP development as ACR’s site network grows
  • Provide operational support across new ACR research locations as the network expands across the UK

  • A compassionate, professional, and adaptable approach to patient-facing work
  • Confidence with IT systems and willingness to learn clinical research software and electronic data capture platforms
  • Motivation to contribute to a growing research organisation and develop your career in clinical research
