Job description
Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical sector, is looking for a technical expert to provide leadership for their clinical data architecture. The role combines platform architecture expertise with clinical data knowledge to ensure data layers remain secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide architecture oversight across the end-to-end clinical data lifecycle, ensuring solutions are scalable and traceable.
- Govern the data platform and integration architecture, including environment management, security, and performance.
- Act as the primary technical lead for external delivery partners by reviewing solution designs and technical deliverables.
- Oversee metadata management, data lineage, and data contracts to ensure end-to-end traceability.
- Manage technical risks, dependencies, and technical debt across the technology ecosystem.
- Review and challenge clinical standards, source-to-target mappings, and metadata designs.
Requirements
- You have 8+ years of experience in clinical data architecture and data platform architecture.
- You bring 8+ years of expertise with Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Microsoft Fabric.
- You possess 8+ years of experience in Azure cloud architecture and security principles.
- You have extensive knowledge of data integration patterns, metadata, and data lineage.
- You bring experience in DevOps and CI/CD for platform engineering.
- You possess strong skills in Agile methodology and risk management.
- You're proactive in stakeholder management, vendor management, and technical leadership.
- You are fluent in English.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with clinical data models and standards.
- Knowledge of data governance and data product management.
- Background in Lean Six Sigma.
