This course is a continuation of the course on introduction to a Site Initiation Visit. The course focus on the practical aspects of the Site Initiation Visits and provides information on the preparation, planning, conduct and follow-up of the visit. The aim is to understand what steps should be taken to perform a perfect Site Initiation Visit as this is a very crucial milestone at the start of the study. Well trained site staff and verification of the site readiness during the SIV minimize the risk of quality issues. After completion of the course the participant will know and understand what the key aspects of the SIV are, how to plan the visit and obtain all necessary approval, how to prepare for the visit and which documents and materials must be reviewed. Those units are followed by the extensive unit dedicated to the SIV conduct. The main focus is on the activities to be performed and questions to be addressed. The course provides information how to follow-up the visit, which documents must be created by the CRA and how to do it. The course contains bank of questions and exercises like case study so the participant can verify the knowledge and develop skills needed to perform a Site Initiation Visit.
